Battle Fit – Against Brain Tumours!

Help Us Raise £10,000.

A heartfelt journey of resilience, remembrance, and resolve.

Welcome to “Battle Fit Against Brain Tumours”. In this blog, we invite you to join us as we embark on a mission that transcends physical boundaries and touches the depths of our souls.

At Battle Fit, we believe in pushing limits, conquering challenges, and making a meaningful impact. Today, we’re channeling that ethos into a cause that hits close to home: the fight against brain tumours. Inspired by the memory of my dear friend Guy, whose courageous battle with this relentless disease left an indelible mark on our hearts, we’re stepping up to make a difference.

Guy’s story is one of strength, grace, and unwavering spirit. Diagnosed with a brain tumour less than eight months ago, he faced his diagnosis with courage and determination, but tragically, he was taken from us at the young age of 43. His passing left us reeling, grappling with grief and searching for ways to honor his memory in a meaningful way.

Thus, the idea for the “Battle Fit Against Brain Tumours” initiative was born. We’re dedicating to completing a grueling 300-mile ultra-marathon to Guy’s memory and to the countless others affected by brain tumours.

Stepping of on Friday 20th September 2024, this epic journey along the Southwest coastal path will not only test our physical endurance but also serve as a powerful symbol of hope, resilience, and solidarity.

Through this blog, we’ll share our training triumphs, setbacks, and reflections as we prepare for this monumental challenge. We’ll also shine a light on the incredible work being done by The Brain Tumour Charity, the organization we’re proud to support through our fundraising efforts.

Join us on this journey as we lace up our trainers, hit the trails, and take meaningful strides towards a future free from the shadow of brain tumours. Together, let’s turn our collective grief into action, our pain into purpose, and our memories of Guy into a legacy of hope and healing.

Welcome to “Battle Fit Against Brain Tumours” – where every step we take is a testament to our commitment to making a difference. Let’s rise to the challenge, together.
